Anybody have any thoughts on the facebook timeline?

I logged in to facebook to check the updates and the long in screen had some video up about introducing me to my timeline - a New Kind of Profile. They're about to make that change. Is facebook really Introducing the 'Timeline'? LOL, this better be a joke (Facebook introducing Timeline while Twitter introducing Activity! a merger in the offing?) But, I'M DONE!

 

Using the new facebook timeline, this actually gives Facebook some redeeming value, im looking at status' from 2008 when I joined. 

Been using facebook timeline for a few hours now... and i'm still the only one who can see it. So why is it awesome again?
